Myra’s Ribbon

Myra’s Ribbon is a 60’ steel and LED ribbon frozen in midair, glowing softly as it twists into the sky.

Myra’s Ribbon is a tribute to my grandmother Myra, who kept every ribbon from gifts given in our family. Perhaps the ribbons were tiny pieces of love - reminders of connection, of moments worth saving. This sculpture takes that gentle, almost invisible act and scales it into something vast: a ribbon frozen in motion, twisted and lifted into the sky. It’s a gesture of memory, of care, and of the small rituals that bind us to one another. Myra’s Ribbon asks participants to consider the ways we hold onto love, and displays the joy of turning something delicate and nearly unnoticed into something monumental.

Myra’s Ribbon is currently under consideration for a 2026 Burning Man Honoraria Grant.
